Has Balenciaga taken the “Aged” sneaker trend too far?

Earlier this week the French fashion company released an interesting iteration of their popular Paris sneaker….

There are a lot of mixed opinions out there about these Full Destroyed Paris High Tops from Balenciaga. 

Really?

Admittedly, many of you out there on social media have been giving us some great shoutouts in regards to these dirty kicks. We always appreciate the love. 

As you can probably tell, the Balenciaga Paris Full Destroyed comes pretty beat up. Dirty, ripped, cut, all of the above. If there ever was a thrashed shoe, this is it. And that’s not even the worst part. 

The retail on this pair? $1850. Yep. Are you really gonna pay almost 2k for a shoe that’s basically been chewed up by your dog? 

Made from rubber and canvas, these are really no different than your normal Chuck Taylors, right? If the ripped and aged look isn't your thing, but want to rock with the Balenciaga brand, they are also releasing the Paris in a less destroyed version.

There's no way that these sell out right? Wrong...sizes already look to be moving fast. Although it's hard to tell if people actually like the shoe or just want the clout that comes along with purchasing a piece like this.
