The Only Way You Should Clean the Citrus Air Jordan 11 Low

When you think of the Air Jordan 11, the first sneaker that comes to mind is probably one of three - the Concord, Bred, or Space Jam Jordan 11s. And while we’ve done plenty of cleaning videos and tutorials on those sneakers in the past, today we’re working on a different Jordan 11 colorway… and it’s a women’s exclusive!

The Citrus Jordan 11 Low is such a sweet shoe. Honestly, it’s nice to see the ladies get an exclusive colorway that looks this good. But our pair is pretty toasted. Jordan has been rocking the Citrus Jordan 11 Low everywhere and has given them quite the makeover in the process.

How to Clean the Jordan 11 Citrus with RESHOEVN8R

Jordan started the cleaning as usual by removing the shoelaces and inserting the Adjustable Shoe Tree into the sneaker. Besides making it easier to clean the toe area of the sneaker, the Shoe Tree should also help minimize the creasing of the patent leather, something that all Jordan 11 owners will appreciate. 

In order to save us from a muddy mess, Jordan dry brushed the sneaker with the Soft Bristle Brush BEFORE using the RESHOEVN8R Sneaker Cleaning Solution. This removed the loose dirt and sand and made it easier to scrub once water and Solution were introduced to the equation. 

With two squirts of Sneaker Cleaning Solution mixed in our bowl of water, it’s time to hammer the entire sneaker with our trio of Brushes. Jordan started with the Soft Bristle Brush and gently scrubbed the leather uppers and patent leather toe area of the sneaker. 

Then she used the Medium Bristle Brush to scrub the midsole. The initial midsole clean revealed some stubborn stains that Jordan then attacked with a little trick she learned from our good friend Jonny Bubbles. To spot treat the stubborn stains she simply dipped the included Microfiber Towel in the Sneaker Cleaning Solution and rubbed them away. 

Now we can move to the outsole of the Citrus Jordan 11 Low, which Jordan cleaned with the Stiff Bristle Brush, effectively wrapping up the initial cleaning. 

Washing Jordans in the Washing Machine

The preliminary clean is done, but the sock liner and lace loops of the Citrus Jordan 11 Low are still extremely dingy. In order to flush these areas out we’re going to wash the shoes in the washing machine with our Sneaker Laundry Bag and a Sneaker Laundry Detergent Pod.

Jordan bagged up the shoe and sent them off for a full cycle in the washing machine, and then let them air dry until no longer wet. Some of you may be hesitant to put your sneakers in the washing machine…and that’s normal.
