Supreme Dunks | Yeezy Knit Runner - Hot Kicks and Hot Sauce EP1
Reshoevn8r Takes a Field Trip to the Best Taco Spot in Phoenix
The mashup that Foodies and Sneakerheads have all been waiting for...welcome to our new video series called Hot Kicks & Hot Sauce, featuring Vick Almighty and Jonny Bubbles.
The name of the game? Throw on some hot kicks and consume unhealthy amounts of the hottest sauces that the United States has to offer.
First stop, Taco Boys.
Located in the heart of downtown Phoenix, Taco Boys is a taco shop that specializes in Tacos Al Carbon and Charcoal Grilled Tacos. It’s one of Vick’s favorite spots, so it was an easy choice for the premier episode.
But before we get into the amazing food, let’s take a look at this week's Hot Kicks courtesy of Kyx World.
Vick is up first with a show stopping pair of Nike Dunks. This pair of Supreme Dunk Lows just hit different, and the blue colorway was a bold choice. These things look sick.
Supreme has a rich history of reworking the Nike Dunk. In both 2002 and 2012, Supreme put out some fire Dunk Lows boldly plastered with the Elephant Print pattern made famous by the Jordan 3.
Vick’s pair of Supreme Dunks was released back in 2021 alongside three other colorways, green, black, and barkroot brown.
Jonny went with something a little more out there; the Yeezy Knit Runners in the Sulfur colorway. Whether for good or bad, this shoe is a headturner.
The Yeezy Knit Runner has consistently drawn mixed reviews since its release in September of 2021. You’ll notice that the Knit Runner is reminiscent of the Yeezy Foam Runner, at least in shape and profile. But where the Foam Runner is made of foam, the Knit Runner swaps this for…you guessed it, a knit sock-like material.
With both pairs laced up and ready to go, it’s time to head over to Taco Boys to see if we can make Jonny sweat.
No menu necessary, the boys knew exactly what they were looking for. With a plateful of Carne Asada and Tripe tacos in hand and plenty of hot sauce on deck, it was finally time to eat.
The tacos served as excellent vessels for the plethora of hot sauce options, and both Vick and Jonny made sure to fill up on the glorious spread of tacos, sauces, and toppings. In between mouthfuls, the two chopped it up and talked sneakers.
The boys both loved the food, even though the hot sauce didn't turn out to be as scorching as they'd hoped.
Taco Boys garnered a 10/10 rating from Reshoevn8r's resident taco experts...but what about the shoes?
That’s up to you to decide. Let us know if you would consider rocking either of these hot kicks, and which pair you like more. Regardless, it’s important to remember to rock what you like. Any shoe is hot if you make it hot.
Hot Kicks and Hot Sauce will air on our Youtube Channel and feature all of our team members at Reshoevn8r. We have celebrity guests, talented on the rise chefs and an arsenal of hot sauces that we’ll be showing you from all over the USA.
