General Job Description

RESHOEVN8R is one of the top 3 sneaker cleaning companies in the world and a video production powerhouse. With a large YouTube following, the RESHOEVN8R production department will film, edit, produce, and publish a minimum of 10 videos a month, with short-form cuts of each. We are looking for a Video Editor Intern who is excited to learn new skills and help us increase the amount and quality of content we are able to produce.

As the Video Editor Intern for RESHOEVN8R, you will have a unique opportunity to work directly with award-winning directors, editors, and on-air talent on a day-to-day basis. If you enjoy the power of a strategically edited video, eager to learn or advance your current skills, and are a detailed oriented student, we would like to talk to you!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Rough Editors in reviewing shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity 
  • Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film 
  • Make video products available in a variety of formats (16x9, 4x5, 9x16) 
  • Coordinates internal and external duplication services as required 
    • Develop rough editing skills, such as 
    • Reviewing footage from multiple camera angles in a single project 
    •  Making editorial decisions 
    •  Rough cut video footage 
    • Rough cuts for audio adjustments 
  • Develop final editing skills, such as  
    • Footage trimming 
    • Color correcting, matching, and grading 
    • Inserting dialog 
    • Audio adjustments 
    • Sound effects 
    • Music 
    • Graphics
    • Special effects  
    • Creative flair 
  • Work with the Video Production Manager to grasp and understand of the RESHOEVN8R video brand guidelines and ensure their implementation 
  • Assist the editor team in the management of all raw video content archives library 
  • Work on strict timelines to ensure assets are created and provided to the needed channels within the allotted timeframes 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Currently enrolled and working on a degree in the appropriate field of study at an accredited university
  •  Proven video editing experience 
  • Strong understanding of the post production software Adobe Premiere

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrable video editing ability 
  • Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks 
  • Interest in editing video segments 
  • Knowledge of video production procedures, practices, techniques, and terminology, preferred 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment 
  • Ability to take initiative and must have the confidence to learn in a “live” environment 
  • Must be reliable with excellent organizational skills and very strong attention to detail
