Nike Didn’t Make a Travis Scott x KD Sneaker… So Vick Almighty Did

What happens when you fuse the cutting-edge performance of the Nike KD 18 with the hype and edge of a Travis Scott Jordan collab? You get the custom sneaker Nike should’ve made. And thanks to Vick Almighty and Reshoevn8r, that concept is now a reality.

KD Meets La Flame: A Concept Years in the Making

Kevin Durant is known for his signature sneaker line—now on its 18th iteration—but fans of the Slim Reaper know he’s also got a serious love for Travis Scott x Air Jordan heat. From rare lows to unreleased colorways, KD’s rotation has long blurred the line between performance and streetwear.

So when Vick Almighty set out to build a custom sneaker for KD, he took that inspiration and ran with it.

The Custom Build: KD 18 x Jumpman Jack

For this project, Vick turned to two sources:

  • The “Black Label” Nike KD 18, known for its dynamic cushioning and Air Terra Humara-inspired midsole design.

  • The “Dark Mocha” Jumpman Jack, Travis Scott’s signature model that brings a rugged yet elevated feel to Jordan Brand’s lifestyle line.

The result? A one-of-one sneaker that blends the Jumpman Jack’s upper with the structural base and cage of the KD 18. Black uppers, crisp white laces, and earthy mocha tones make the pair visually striking—calling back to the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 “Phantom” Low while still rooted in KD’s on-court DNA.

Hidden Details & Custom Craftsmanship

This isn’t just a surface-level mashup. Vick brought in Jordon Diab to collaborate on custom tongue and strap components:

  • The tongue merges both brands' DNA with KD’s lettering wrapped around the Cactus Jack face—a fusion logo that would make any sneakerhead double-take.

  • The midfoot strap maintains the stitched Jumpman Jack branding while subtly embedding KD’s “Easy Money” currency logo in a tonal brown that blends seamlessly with the mocha palette.

Even the box got a redesign to match the story behind the sneaker—because every detail matters.

Why It Matters

This isn’t just a tribute—it’s a prototype of what Nike x Travis x KD could be. It also reflects the evolving nature of sneaker culture, where performance silhouettes and high-fashion hype don’t live in separate lanes. They intersect, remix, and get reimagined by artists like Vick Almighty.

And if you’re wondering—yes, KD has seen the pair. In a snippet shared across social media, Vick shows Durant the vision, just like he did with Devin Booker’s ACG x Nike Book 1 custom months earlier. The mission now? Get a size 17 version into Durant’s hands.
